Grand Canyon Camping

There are campgrounds both on the floor and on top of the Grand Canyon. To camp in the bottom of the Grand Canyon you need a permit which must be obtained through the backcountry office. Reservations are strongly recommended..

For camping in developed camp grounds with full hookups, or in tents.
For South Rim camping (RV and tent) reservations at Grand Canyon Camper Village, call 1-928-638-2887, and ask for "Peggy ".
 Located at entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park in Tusayan. Advanced reservations accepted and highly recommended. Limited supply of full hookup's. We recommend you make your reservations for campgrounds well in advance. Shuttle bus stops located nearby, You can take the shuttle bus to the trail heads or just ride the shuttle bus along the rim, no parking problems.

Permit request forms to camp down in the canyon can be ordered by sending self address and stamped envelope and one dollar to Grand Canyon Reservations, box 146, Grand Canyon, AZ, 86023.
